 Our Needs:

-Complete the building: We need proper dormitory for the grown up girls who are going into puberty to give them more privacy. We laid the foundation five years ago and we couldn’t finish it due to the increasing costs of raw materials and labor.

-Scholarship program for our college students – (20 students who grew up in our children home, who are now pursuing college education and they need $1,000.00/month to cover their monthly expenses)

- Medical facility: There are thousands of impoverished people deprived of medical facilities. Many women due to lack of personal hygiene are suffering from different kinds of diseases; we need to improve our medical clinic to bring medical treatment to the most vulnerable people. Our goal is to raise enough funds to build a medical facility where we can assist the needy.

We are serving the community through many avenues of approach:

The principal of non-discrimination is replaced by the principal of equality, as stated in Article 1 of the Universsal Declaration of Human Rights: "All human beings are born free and equal in dignitity and right!"

Orphanage: Our children are drawn mainly from economicaly, socially and culturally down trodden populations called "untouchables." Therefore, even prior to their admission to the orphanage, the children have already become victims of thousands of years of existing self-destructive social practices.

Once we admit the children, we give them proper hygieniec, clothing and nourishing orientation. In addittion to that, we admit them to school and teach them principles of good conduct and offer proper ethical orientation about criminality. In terms of education, it is essential to give them a chance to learn English and self development - we give them self-motivation , character formation and values clarification.

Medical Clinic: BFHI has a doctor on staff that assists over 200 patients a week. These patients are mainly farm laborers who earn $3.00/day and therefore can not afford to pay for medicines, and neither for doctor visists.

However, we have a very limited outreach due to limited funds

to buy the supplies.

Lepers Ministry: There are 70 Lepers in the geographical area about 7 miles from the children's home. We accept them not as outcasts, and treat them at our medical facility. We offer them food, clothing, blankets, towels and financial support.
